You’re thinking about putting $500 of your own money into Axi Select, and every page you find is either a sales pitch or someone who never joined. This Axi Select review comes from inside the program: my own account, my real payouts, the months with no payout, and the rules I only understood after living them.
Full disclosure first: I’m an Axi affiliate. If you join through my links I may earn a commission. That’s also why I’m telling you the parts that don’t sell.
What Axi Select is, in two minutes
Axi Select is Axi’s funded trader program. You trade your own account, Axi scores how you trade, and as your score and results hold up, Axi gives you an allocation account with its capital and pays you a share of the profit on it. There are no registration or membership fees. The minimum deposit is $500.
The stages, from Axi’s help center when I checked on 1 October 2026:
| Stage | Max funding | Your profit share | Min equity | Edge Score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seed | $5,000 | 0% | $500 | 50 |
| Incubation | $20,000 | 40% | $1,000 | 60 |
| Acceleration | $100,000 | 50% | $2,000 | 70 |
| Pro | $200,000 | 60% | $5,000 | 90 |
| Pro 500 | $500,000 | 70% | $10,000 | 90 |
| Pro M | $1,000,000 | 80% | $20,000 | 90 |
To move up you need a 7% profit target, a minimum number of days and trades, and the Edge Score. The Edge Score is a weighted mix of skill, risk and consistency, adjusted by your experience. Rules change, so check the current table before you plan anything. For how the stages connect, see the real cost of prop firm challenges vs Axi Select.
My account: Acceleration, payouts, and a red phase
I’m in Acceleration, the $100,000 stage at a 50% share, and I’ve been there more than 200 days. My Edge Score is 85. Pro needs 90.
My payouts this year: January $602.96. February $68.77. March $931.34. Then nothing.
Here’s why, and it’s the rule nobody reads: Axi only pays if, at the end of the month, the allocation account is above its original funding and there are no open positions. April and May were red months, and my allocation account has been below its starting balance since. Today it’s down 4.9%. July was a good month and still paid nothing, because the account first has to climb back above where it started.
That’s a bad phase, and I’m showing it because it’s the part most reviews skip. The account is alive and I’m trading the same rules. If you join, plan for months like these.
Other people on the same road
I’m not the only one I’ve set up for this. Flora is family: she’s in Acceleration and was paid $356.43 in July and $216.44 in August. Iván is one of you: he hit the 7% target in Incubation, with 87 trades, and moved up to Acceleration. Different people, different accounts, same idea: small risk, several strategies, long term.
Moving up a stage, receiving more allocation and getting paid are three different things. Keep them apart when you read anyone’s results, mine included.
The Axi Select rules that matter most
The loss limit and quarantine
From Seed to Pro 500 the loss threshold is 7%; at Pro M it’s 10%. Cross it in Incubation or Acceleration and your account goes into quarantine: open positions in the allocation account are closed, no new funding, and you wait 7 calendar days. The first and second quarantine let you re-enter the previous stage if you meet its criteria. A third can send you back to Seed. In Seed and the Pro stages there’s no quarantine: exceed the limit and you’re removed and restart from Seed. Falling below your stage’s minimum equity can also trigger quarantine.
Payouts
Paid at the start of the following month, as long as the allocation account is above its original funding at month end with no open positions. That last condition matters if your strategy holds trades over the month end. You can’t withdraw from the allocation account itself.
EAs and copy trading
Your own EAs are allowed. Copy trading is strictly prohibited. And this is the one that catches people: under the program rules, using someone else’s EA, or supplying an EA to others, is only permitted for generating signals, with all trades placed manually. So Axi Select is for your own system. If your plan is to buy an EA and let it run on your allocation account, read that rule twice and ask Axi in writing before you start.
Who can join
Axi says it can’t offer accounts to residents of the United States, and the program isn’t available in every other country either. Check eligibility for your country before anything else.
Axi Select review: the honest pros and cons
| What I like | What to watch |
|---|---|
| No challenge or membership fee | 0% profit share at Seed |
| Capital grows with your record, up to $1M | No payout while the allocation is below its starting balance |
| Rules reward risk control, not one lucky month | Quarantine and stage resets |
| Your own EAs are allowed | Third-party EAs only for signals, trades placed manually |
| Real people progressing, including people I know | Not available in every country |
It’s the first program where I felt the rules were aligned with how I trade. That doesn’t mean it fits everyone. It fits a trader with their own system, patience for bad months, and capital they can leave in the account. If you’re comparing it with a different road to allocated capital, read Axi Select vs Darwinex Zero. I run both, and right now the Darwinex side is the one pulling.
Watch how I think about bad phases: in Why Most Trading Bots Fail Live, I explain why systems that look fine in a test struggle live, which is exactly what a red month on an allocation account feels like.
Should you join?
- Yes, if you have your own strategy with a record, $500 you can leave in the account, and you can live with months that pay nothing.
- Not yet, if you don’t have a system. Build it on demo first, then come back.
- No, if your plan is a bought EA running on autopilot, or you’re in an excluded country.
If you decide to try it, this is the link I use. Start in Seed with risk you’d be happy to keep for a year, not a month. And if you want to know where your strategy’s real drawdown sits before you commit, read where I’d put $500 before a prop firm.
I post my own account’s ups and downs, payouts included, in the newsletter. Join the DoItTrading newsletter if you want the honest version month by month.
Rules checked on 1 October 2026 from Axi’s help center and program rules; they can change. My results and those of people I know don’t predict yours. Trading involves real risk to capital.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Axi Select legit?
Yes, it’s run by Axi, a regulated broker group, and I’ve received payouts from it. It’s a funded program with real rules, including months without payouts, so judge it on the rules, not on the headline funding.
How do Axi Select payouts work?
Monthly. You’re paid your stage’s share of the profit if, at month end, the allocation account is above its original funding and has no open positions. The payout arrives at the start of the next month.
Why did my Axi Select payouts stop?
Usually because the allocation account is below its starting balance at month end, or because positions were still open. Mine stopped after March for the first reason, even through positive months.
Can I use an EA on Axi Select?
Your own EAs, yes. Under the program rules, someone else’s EA is only allowed for generating signals with trades placed manually, and copy trading is prohibited. Confirm your setup with Axi in writing.
What happens if I hit the loss limit on Axi Select?
In Incubation or Acceleration, your account goes into a 7-day quarantine and can re-enter the previous stage if it meets the criteria. In Seed and the Pro stages there’s no quarantine: you’re removed and restart from Seed.
